jimmy mac’s bio….
Jim McInerney (Jimmy Mac) was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He has been working in the professional radio industry since ’91 when he joined WLUP (The Loop) as an Associate Producer for The Kevin Matthews Show. He was also the first local producer and board-op for The Howard Stern Show in 1992. That experience led him to the great Jonathon Brandmeier show on The Loop FM as Technical Producer, where he was responsible for the creation and management of all audio production for the show.
Jimmy Mac was also featured on “The Sunday Funnies” with Conan O’Brien head writer Brian McCann and hosted “The Loop’s Summer Hours”. He has worked on or contributed to radio shows hosted by Joe Walsh, Siskel and Ebert, Dennis DeYoung from Styx, Danny Bonaduce, and many more. In 1997, he joined Johnny B in his move to CBS Radio’s WCKG FM in Chicago and KLSX in Los Angeles.
In 2001, Johnny B decided to take a break from radio and Jimmy Mac stayed with CBS and continued as Technical Producer for the the cult fave “Buzz and Wendy Show,” featuring Buzz Kilman and Wendy Snyder, middays on WCKG. The following year, Jimmy Mac found himself working with Kevin Matthews once again. This time, as Executive Producer of Kev’s Show.
In 2003, the Production Director position became available and he jumped at the opportunity. Under this title, Jimmy Mac has produced and voiced thousands of commercials for clients both local and national.
He is currently the Production Director of Next Media’s 95.9 The River.
Jimmy Mac also Co-hosts and produces The ForceCast, the most popular Star Wars Podcast in the galaxy. And, he Co-hosts and produces another podcast, SnydeRemarksRadio with wife Wendy Snyder.
