about SRR

hey, it’s wendy snyder here and I’ve been somewhere on the radio dial in Chicago for over 25 years…in fact, in August of 1986, at the young age of 23, I hit the airwaves of the LOOP 97.9FM…what a blast it was to be playing great music on one of the greatest rock stations in my very own hometown, Chicago…I went from music jock to talk show host and everything in between (news, sports, traffic, weather)…did mornings on WKQX/Q-101FM…afternoons on WCKG 105.9FM and now back to mornings on WLS 890AM….once again, I’m on a station I grew up listening to…what a thrill….but, radio has changed and I need to spread my wings….so, here it is, SnydeRemarksRadio…it’s a weekly podcast devoted to anything and everything that my husband Jimmy Mac and I feel like talking about….sometimes we talk about our parenting skills, or lack thereof….other times we talk about food, including the limited availability of the McRib, or whether or not to dunk an Oreo in milk……music, television, pop culture, you just never know what we’ll be talking about on SnydeRemarksRadio……tune in and find out…..

thanks for listening all these years…..I hope you’ll keep doing it…..

Nice to find you again Wendy. I just heard about your podcast on steve’s podcast. I’m a big fan been listening to you from the days on wckg with steve, buzz and spike. I loved the four of you together. I hope one day you guys get together again.

I like your show, very nice intro music. It’s so nice to hear your laugh again :)

    Wendy,

Always loved and listened to you until you got wacked by the Stever. To his credit,
I was listening to the Dahlcast and he mentioned your waxarama on your own cast. The next day,
I uploaded all of your casts and am enjoying them.
    Good luck!

    Hi Wendy,

I just discovered your podcasts and now I’m catching up. I love them! And, I just wanted to remind you, when talking about Captains (Capns), don’t forget about Captain Underpants. (yes, I also have a 7r old boy)

    Great to hear you again,

    Wendy,
I heard you for the first time the day Garry started his solo career.
(biggest break up in radio history nd he refused to talk about it. Must of been a fun day)
The first time I contacted you was during the Lorainna Bobbit story. You laughed at my lame joke and made my day.
My favorite period of your carrer at the loop was nights. I’d sit and listen to you and Bill and fax in jokes and song parodies. My one goal was to make you guys laugh cause if you guys thought it was funny then it must have been.
I even listend during the dark days at Q101 (Pearl Jam on the 8′s)
Then came the various shifts at WCKG until you made the mistake of needing surgery (how dare you!)
Now I’m living out of state but can listen to you once a week on the ‘cast.
My point being… I don’t kkow if I qualify as your biggest fan but I’ve got to be one of the most enduring.
You keep posting them and I’ll keep listening.

    Wendy:

I remember from a past podcast that you talked about a Newmann’s Own Salad dressing that you liked that you received as a gift from a family member. Was it the Southwestern dressing? Are you having difficulty finding it on line or at a store? Thanks. Love your podcast.

    • SnydeRemarksRadio says:

Hey, Gloria….yes, it is the Southwestern dressing and I could only find it on Newman’s website….and you have to buy 3 bottles and they kinda spoil quickly…so, plan on eating a lot of salads…
